Collection: Flexible Solar Panels
Sunman eArc® flexible panels are glassless "solar skin" modules — about 2 mm thick and roughly 70% lighter than a comparable framed panel — so they can be bonded straight onto a curved caravan roof, a bimini or a boat deck where a rigid panel will not fit. They are certified to the same IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 standards as framed panels, and every junction box is IP68 rated with MC4 solar connectors.
Which flexible panel do I need?
Match the panel to the space you have on the roof first, then check the current your charge controller can take.
Heights exclude the junction box. The 215 W panel uses a half-cut cell layout that splits the module into two independent strings, so shade falling on one side costs you less output — worth having where a mast, aerial or air-conditioner shadow tracks across the roof.
Mounting and wiring
- Bond to the roof with high-bond double-sided tape or structural adhesive, or bolt through the eyelets — no rails and no roof penetrations needed for the panel itself.
- A vented gap kit lifts the panel a few millimetres off the surface, which keeps it cooler and lifts output on hot days.
- Bring the cable inside through an IP68 gland, and size the run for about 3% voltage drop.
- Pair the panel with an MPPT charge controller rated above the panel's short-circuit current.
